Space Command Studios

Space Command Studios is the physical studios we’ve established in a warehouse park in Pico Rivera. It consists of 3 total warehouses. Stage 1 is for storage and office space. Stage 2 contains our smaller sound stage (now housing our 2 story space-ship set!), our small crafty area with a fridge, coffee maker and a microwave, as well as our fulfillment office. Stage 3 is our large stage where we recently filmed our alien space ship set (dubbed, “The Haunted House set”) for Space Command: Forgiveness. It also contains our wardrobe/prosthetics room and the main lobby is used for craft services and lunch distribution on shoot days.

Behind the Scenes

About Marc Zicree

Growing up a child of divorce in Los Angeles in the 60s, Marc Scott Zicree became obsessed with all things sci-fi and embraced fantastic stories about outer space as a way to travel in his imagination as far away as it could take him. Though the first genre novel he ever read at age seven was Robert A Heinlein’s “Farmer in the Sky,” he credits three TV shows – The Twilight Zone, The Outer Limits and Star Trek – with inspiring his dreams of becoming a writer. While Zicree later became friendly with many of his literary heroes, some of whom even became mentors, he fondly remembers the first sci-fi icon he ever met, Ray Bradbury – and more importantly, the simple wisdom the legendary author imparted in his talk. “Ideally,” Bradbury said, “your life, work and art should all come from the same place – your heart.”

Many decades, countless multi-media accolades, numerous pilots, feature films, and hundreds of episodic TV hours later (including scripts for Sliders, Star Trek: The Next Generation, Babylon 5 and Deep Space Nine), Zicree is still writing from the heart and exploring new places in the universe of his creative powers.
